EMILY MILLS

I'm Emily Mills, a reporter with the Akron Beacon Journal, a Gannett (former GateHouse) newspaper in Akron, Ohio.

 

I spent two years with the Mansfield News Journal, a Gannett newspaper in Mansfield, Ohio, covering crime, breaking news, city government, race and the environment.

I was previously a fellow with News21 in Phoenix and an intern with the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History in Washington.

 

I was also editor-in-chief of my campus newspaper, The Kent Stater. I'm a 2016 Kent State University graduate with a degree in multimedia news and political science.

I'm from Ravenna, Ohio, and enjoy hiking, yoga and cooking. I hope to adopt a corgi someday.
